Headed Item- Applications for Arts Grants
-
Motion 1-"Tallaght Area Committee, in solidarity with patients and staff, and recognizing the fact that Tallaght University Hospital took just under €1.6 million euro in parking fees in 2024, calls on the Minister for Health to increase the Core Funding to TUH in the Budget 2026 to allow these exorbitant parking charges to be scrapped and to stop people being penalized for being ill or carrying out their vital work?"
-
Motion 2 "This Area Committee calls on the Manager to upgrade the public area known as the Belgard Walkway, This route is used by pedestrians travelling from the Square. Parthalan Place and from the LUAS terminus. The area behind the Civic on both sides of the road is dark and overgrown, there are uninviting metal barriers and ugly bottle banks beside the start of the route the lights on the Walkway need repairs and the trees need pruning. This is a natural route for people accessing the Belgard Road and its environs and it should be a safe and well lit area for those we are encouraging to use public transport."
-
Motion 3-"That this Area Committee calls on the Manager, in an effort to prevent bonfires, to ensure addition resources are available to the Enforcement Section before Halloween, to ensure businesses and private citizens are storing securely, all bonfire materials, particularly in the Industrial Estates of Cookstown, Broomhill, Hibernian and Greenhills Industrial Estates, and to provide a dedicated phone number to enable members of the Public to report stockpiles, in a timely manner?"
-
Motion 4- "This committee calls for a Play space to be looked at for the Springfield estate, this is such a large estate with many young and old families, with very little amenities in the area?"
-
Motion 5-"This area committee calls on the council to carry out maintenance on the planters on the St Dominic's side of the Charles O'Toole bridge?
-
"Anti-Social Behaviour Report Quarter 2 2025" (for noting).
-
"Housing Allocation Quarter 2 Report 2025". (for noting).
-
"Housing Delivery Quarter 2 Report 2025".
-
Motion 6-"This Area Committee recognises that the residents association in Springfield have done trojan work since they came together last year, however they are massively limited in what they can do to provide services for the community due to the area having no access to a community centre in the estate. I would request SDCC explore the possibility of providing a suitable space for the community of Springfield to allow them continue to build on their work?"
-
“Proposed Taking in Charge of the Templewoods Estate, Greenhills Road, Dublin 24 – Report on Public Consultation”
-
Motion 7- "This Area Committee calls on the Manager to carry out a survey on the quality of the CCTV cameras in use in Tallaght Village and its environs, around Old Bawn Road Junction, the junctions around the N81 and the New Greenhills Road junction with Main Road, to ensure that the cameras are all recording at HD standard?"
